Steve |
|
Steve's interest and aptitude
with things mechanical first became apparent when he was 4 years old. His first
"job" was to crawl into the tail cone of the airplane that his father was
restoring, to buck rivets. Frank, Steve's father, taught him (with patience)
the basic rules of craftsmanship on hundreds of projects. From bicycles to
mini-bikes to motocross racers to his first BMW automobile, every early project
was another opportunity to learn.
Steve's professional career
started as an apprentice BMW & VW tech at a dealership in Los Angeles in
1977. Since then, Steve's dealership employment has included Saab, Audi,
Maserati, Porsche, Nissan, Hyundai & Subaru, with factory training in each.
A long stint at a noted Bay-area BMW performance shop introduced new skills, as
did time spent building & prepping off-road race cars and movie stunt
vehicles. Steve is an ASE Certified Master Technician. Currently Steve is
working towards passing on his skills & experience to Justin Engineering's
young crew of talented techs. |

Elisa |
Elisa's clerical and
bookkeeping experience began at age 15. Her computer skills are mostly self
taught, as she has always been able to "learn by doing". After being shown
basic cut/copy/paste functions in a spreadsheet application she was able to
find her way around that and many other programs. Beside word processing and
spreadsheet applications she is also proficient in various desktop publishing,
graphic design, web design, and video editing programs. She received her BFA
from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1990, where she studied
computer imaging and animation.
In the spring of 1999 she took
the Quick Books class at Nicolet College's Lakeland Campus. This has been an
invaluable resource to Justin Engineering, Inc. Elisa is continuing to expand
her knowledge and skills by taking accounting classes at Nicolet College.
